No Carbs before Marbs! A not so sunnyish Marbella Holiday

Where do I even start about this?

We went in April 2011, Its the second time I've been to Marbella I think but never at that time of the year. Goodness! We were so excited to escape dreary London weather for the bank holiday and boy, were we disappointed!

Stepped off the plane and the weather looked like this .... *wails*




It felt like the weather was mocking us! How does one make others jealous of their holiday when the weather in Marbella was colder than London! How is that even possible?

But where there is a beach, there is a way :) Marbella turned out to be a lot of fun as always! It was my cousin's birthday and she's always up for a good time and if it sucks, she makes it happen! See below for pictures, we stayed in Puerto Banus and never left that part of the city. Everything is there! I should make a note to do explore more of inner marbella next time. We usually just stick to the beach. It just has a draw that I cant explain =D

Plaza Beach was the Closest to us, and its really one of my favorite places. Its got everything you need. The strip where all the clubs are (free I might add),the Marina,restaurants and a beautiful beach that stretches for ages!

Nightime - Nikki Beach, We went to this exclusive club and had a great time! Even though we couldn't have dinner outside cuz it looked like the first picture, we had a great time inside, nice music and a very nice vibe!

My First City Break - Madrid

So Madrid is the first and only city holiday I've done in Spain so far and I think it will be my last lol. Just kidding! I prefer beach holidays but I'm not one to turn down ANY holiday so what am I saying?

Madrid the city was lovely! Our Hotel was right in the centre of town, easy to get to all the main sights and clubs which was great! Im not too sure about the people though, they stared A LOT! Maybe that was due to the rainbow of shades my group comprised of, I dont know. After a while though, it gets really irritating..like excuse me?

That was mainly the middle aged to old folks, the city people our age were just like they would be in London, friendly, outgoing and offered us lots of free shots! =D

Had fun but I definitely prefer the spanish coastal regions, especially Marbella.

Shattered, we stayed up all night as our flight was at a ridiculous time like 5am and we'd been out for a late dinner! No point in sleeping then!

Holidays!

I'm obsessed with them!

Every time I'm back in London all I can do is dream about the next country to travel to and where I'm going to get my next dose of sunshine! Well, just got back from a month in my home city, Lagos, two weeks ago and like a fiend, I'm experiencing serious withdrawal symptoms!

Since I'm not travelling for a while (3 months :-( ), I thought I'd show the world the amazing places I've visited recently, and remind myself to be grateful for the experience, enjoy now instead of pining after the next stamp on my passport!
