Autumn 2012 Nail Trend - Primark of all places!

So Ive really been loving rich dark colours that are almost synonymous to autumn as neon is to summer! I recently got into paying more attention to my nails and was very pleased and pleasantly surprised by this nail set I picked up in Primark. It was incredibly cheap too at only £2!

Check it out! My favourite colour is the dark plummy red, it just screams Adam's family to me :-D

The dark plum shade is almost identical to this colour seen at NYW for designer Catherine Malandrino

I seriously cant get enough of this set!

Fall Outfit of the day - Olympiabeauty Show

Which is it? Fall or Autumn? I say Autumn as I live in sunny England! Well, not so sunny england I mean :-)

I went to Olympia beauty exhibition today and really wanted to be comfy as Id be walking around looking at make up all day. I overdosed on Topshop obviously, but its one of my favorite stores! Outfit details below.

Bowler Hat - Topshop
Gorgeous gold midi-skirt - Topshop
Boots- Topshop
T-shirt - Monki
Watch - Vintage
Hoop earrings - Dorothy Perkins

Here is my Face of the day - Im really embracing the fall/autumn makeup trends and im particularly loving this lipliner I got from LA colours. I'll be doing a post on them soon. The brand is great! So much make up goodness at decent prices. My lipliner is called Deepest purple and it was only a pound!

My face is my usual foundation routine, mac matchmaster, sleek contour kit as highlighter and rimmel eyeliner.

Hope you liked it! Im really looking forward to Autumn - I love the fashion in the stores!

I had a lot of fun at Olympia beauty, so will be posting a vlog and pictures of the goodies within the next week. Work commitments permitting!

Have a great week lovelies!

Love Always,

My Favorite MAC Lipsticks

Lipsticks are the crux of my makeup collection. I have have them in many shades yet I never seem to every have enough! They brighten up or tone down my look and usually make me look like I've put in more of an effort than I actually have!

Quite a few youtube viewers have asked what my favourite lipsticks are so I decided to blog about them! Mac is my favourite brand so naturally thought Id start out with my favourite mac lipsticks!

Here they are (see below for descriptions - the video below is also great for seeing each lipstick in motion and natural light!):

Ruby Woo

This is a rich matte red colour.

I love the fact that its not glossy or shiny in anyway so it really helps to keep your face looking clean and not 'busy'.For example, I wear this to work quite regularly whilst keeping the rest of my face simple. It makes my lips the focal point without making me look like I piled on lots of makeup which you sometimes get with glossy finish lipsticks.

Im also convinced Rihanna has this lipstick, maybe thats why I love it so much lol

Girl about Town

This is more of a creamy glossy finish, I looove the rich fuchsia colour, its definitely a summer staple. I dont wear it as much in the winter but you can definitely darken this up with the help of a dark purple lipliner.

You know how people talk about nude lipsticks that arent really your nude? well this is certainly my nude colour! I love it! Its also a matte finish but amazingly not drying at all. This is a great colour to use to balance your face if you've got dramatic eyes.

This lipstick never fails to make me feel fierce! I love it! Deep purple, creamy, slightly glossy, divine!

Morange is a lovely bright orange with a creamy finish, its a bit hard to put on, and your lips definitely need to be lined, but its a great colour for darker toned skin

Top Tip

I never actually buy my mac lipsticks, I usually make use of the 'back-to-mac' program where you get a free lipstick when you return 6 empty mac containers back to the store. My friend gave me a bag of 20 or so empties recently so Im having a field day with those! :-D

Hope you enjoyed this post, did you have a favourite?

I also uploaded a video showing the lipsticks in motion, enjoy xoxo

Fashion Inspiration! BANKE KUKU

I have a love for ladies who are 'winning', so when I met Banke I was sooo inspired by how much she has accomplished especially at such a young age. She is a textile designer for the fashion and interiors industry and has worked with renowned brands such as Jewel by Lisa, DuroOlowu, Lot 78, Burberry and many more! Her designs have graced Fashion weeks in Paris, Milan and London and everyday people like me can grab a piece of her luxurious goodness from Selfridges!

With such gorgeous designs as can be seen below, it is easy to see why people are drawn to her prints and textiles, they are just LUXE! I absolutely adore the blend of western and african culture evident in her designs too! Okay I'll stop gushing now... see for yourself :-)

and here is the lady herself!

You can purchase some of her interior upholstery, cushions especially at Selfridges in London. You can also view her website ang contact her at www.bankekuku.com

I hope she can be as much as an inspiration to you as she is to me! I will be posting a video we did together shortly, so do look out for that!

NY Fashion Week Faves so far!

Im so excited about the fashion buzz that is fashion week! I know its New York's time to shine, but London has already had a taster with Fashion Night Out which from what I hear was just fabulous! I had to work, so I had a crestfallen face the whole time!

I thought it would be a good idea to share some of my favourite pieces from the various collections.

First Stop, DKNY

This skirt. I want.

The DKNY collection gave me a massive sportswear vibe, lots of fanny packs, jackets etc, not really my thing but I would totally wear this dress, I think the colour contrast would look divine against my skin!

Loove this heritage suit!

would definitely wear this next summer, but not with those shoes lol

It appears she steered away from the structure and form fitting styles which has become synonymous with her brand, but I like these

This is just amazing! I love the midi length and the cut out/ mesh detail!

Very 1960's mod, not my style but still love it!

one of the star collections for me was REBECCA MINKOFF, Im especially drawn to the feminine and wearable look of the collection
