Park Life

The first place to find a Londoner when the sun is out - is a park. I am certainly not an exception. This is one a casual outfit I wore recently to spend a lazy sunday chilling in Victoria Park, one of the most beautiful parks in the east of Londres.

Flower vest: A gift from a friend who knows I like anything flowery. The brand is an american one called Pink.Rose, I think it is stocked at Macy's

I'm moving to ... DUBAI!

Excitement cannot even begin to cover how I'm feeling right now, I've known that I would be moving to Dubai since last year but August felt sooo far away that it just didn't feel real. Well, its real now yo! I'm off in a MONTH! OMGGGGEEEE!

I'd been keeping it a bit secret because I didn't want to jinx it, in case work said "actually, maybe you should just stay in London" or even worse, "maybe you should go to (some-random-far-out-did-I-say-random-and-dry place) instead!". I would have cried and that would have been highly embarrassing so I kept quiet instead.

Not any morreeee :-) It's confirmed, my flight is booked and I'm out in a few weeks! I talk about my move, how long Im going for, and my previous experience living in Paris in the video below.

I've also been compiling a MUST DO list for while I'm out there so Ive been gathering pictures all over the internet to give me ideas. Here are some of the things I have planned, which of course I will document on the blog and my youtube channel... naturally!

Awww I got featured by IFB Again!

 

I'm so pleased! I've had such a hectic week that I haven't had the time to check my favorite sites as often as I usually do. Video Diary! Wireless Festival with Jay Z, Miguel, Calvin Harris & Co

Hey guys! I posted about my Wireless Festival experience earlier, but as you know pictures are never enough to convey epicness so I made a mini video diary of my day including the uber casual outfit I wore. Seriously, It was incredible!

I got to see Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, Miguel and dance like a crazy person to Calvin Harris! I love dance and house music so it really was the BEST session for me. Enjoy the clip above!

My (Mostly French) Beauty Haul

I was soo excited to try French beauty products on my last trip to Paris that one of my first stops was to find a pharmarcy selling Bioderma. I guess I got a bit carried away because I ended up buying 4 bottles of the Crealine Micellar Solution and other products from the Sebium range. I must say I haven't been disappointed, and like I said in the video above, its quite easily the best makeup remover/cleanser I have tried in ages!

The other products I got were discussed in the video and listed below:

Sephora Smoothing Primer - The bottle looks different from mine but I think its the same product, I bought it in Barcelona and that is Sephora's american site so that could explain it.

Newbies: Summer Sandals

I've been doing quite a bit of shopping recently since its summer sale season and the prices have been quite good. As usual Zara was one of the first stores I visited and I was really pleased to find the above sandals on sale! I bought them for my cousin as a birthday present and really wanted to get a pair for myself but couldn't justify it, but hey, a price reduction is as great a justification as any! hehe

I also picked up the mid heel sandals below from Topshop. I've been looking for day to day single strap sandals that are comfortable to wear for an extended period and aren't too high. I'm 5'10 so I don't usually wear high heels during the day, however the more I see fellow tall bloggers like Tuula vintage rocking heels at any time, the more I want to wear mine more frequently! The tan and black colour of the sandals goes with heels and the shoes are SUPER comfy.

Summer Trends: The Crop Top

The Crop Top has been once of my favorite trends this season, and I love that you dont always have to bare a vast amount of your mid-riff to wear them. The key to nailing this trend is to match the top with high waist bottoms. This is especially great if your tummy is not very toned, but also makes your outfit less Britney Spears circa 2000 and more classy.

I'll be  doing an outfit post shortly, in the meantime, take some crop top styling inspiration from these savvy ladies shot by Tommy Ton!

My Wireless Festival Photo Diary

For my first festival experience, London's Wireless was incredible! I went with a few of the girls and got to see Jay-z, Miguel, Kendrick Lamar, Justin Timberlake and Clavin Harris perform. This crazy guy wouldn't let me take my outfit photo in peace hehe.

We chose the right shoes for the festival, I think my feet would have been destroyed if I'd worn sandals!

I wore a Topshop T-shirt, I loved the top because it was longer at the back which helps to cover my bum! I dont mind flashing a bit of bottom at the beach or at a festival but for day to day wear I prefer to keep it a bit modest. I paired the top with my Topshop dip dyed shorts and my favorite converses. My mirrored sunglasses were from Primark as were my peace earrings. I'll post an outfit video once I get round to editing my wireless footage!

Calvin Harris was amazing!

I love house music so I went a bit MENTAL!

My beautiful chucks looked GRIM after 45 minutes of stomping around and dancing, I'm not looking forward to cleaning them!  :-(

It was one of the hottest days of the summer so far so I had to change my outfit when my tshirt got too icky! The top was my friend's and I think it was from Next.

Bumped into Natalie Emmanuel, the slave girl from Game of thrones! Serious fan girl moment!

There were flower crowns everywhere and I LOVED this gneirl's big head band and the multicoloured tones she had in her hair. Her crown is similar to the one I had in my Lana Del Rey tutorial.

Time flew fast, and before we knew it, Mr Carter came on.

Jay Z was incredible! So charismatic, charming and obviously an amazing wordsmith. I haven't been that much of a fan recently so I was sooo happy when he did sets featuring his old tunes like Girls Girls Girls, Big pimpin' etc, Haven't heard those songs in years! His new stuff also sounded really good so I might be getting a copy of his Magna Carta Holy Grail album. I'm not a fan of the album name but whatevs, I'm looking forward to the tunes. Unfortunately, he brought Justin Timberlake on right after my batter died! Grr!

I had an unforgettable day and can't wait to go to my next festival. I know Lovebox is coming up but any other recommendations? I'm thinking of going to Sonar in Barcelona next year!
